Oglee Poglee embraces childhood wonder.  It's where exploration, authenticity and children's ideas of all magnitudes are celebrated.

For when a child can really immerse themselves in who they were born to be, that magic within them is going to shine out and light up the world.  We are all born to create, yet whether we grow up to consider ourselves ‘creative’ largely depends on whether we’ve had our innate creativity nurtured and have been taught the value of creative thinking.

At Oglee Poglee we nurture creativity by playing, exploring and inventing with cardboard.  Kids love cardboard, which is perfect because it’s readily available, often free and easily recyclable.

Our Story

I'm Claire Gillespie, founder of Oglee Poglee and I help children play with cardboard.  The simplest and most wonderful of materials, cardboard has been my go-to medium for self-expression since I was a tiny tot.  A cardboard box was always my favourite toy, a blank canvas for a big imagination.

When I was little it was just me, my ideas and a pile of cardboard but now having worked with 100's of children I realise it was always so much more.  It's where I cultivated a long life love of learning and it's where I started to discover my sense of self. Those creative endeavours mattered and enriched my life.

So now I get to give that gift to other children. The gift of space, time and resources but also the gift of listening, of enthusiasm and of understanding. I get to listen to big ideas and guide inventors past a frustrating moment. I get to offer a new perspective and help families reconnect. I get to witness that precious moment where a spark of an idea is ignited and a child's eyes light up. I get to see curiosity and creativity at it's best. Now that has to be the best job in the world!

Visit the Cardboard Shed

Oglee Poglee's cardboard shed is open to visitors. A one to one bespoke experience like no other. It's just your family and me in the shed exploring what's possible with cardboard and our imaginations.  So if two whole hours exploring your ideas, trying stuff out and making as many mistakes as you like gets you and your kids excited simply get in touch and book your family slot.  There is no set things to make it's your time to make what you want. It that feels overwhelming fear not, I will be there to support you and will be making my own things too. We can explore alongside each other. No previous skills are required, it's only cardboard!
